Heather Blumenthal of Spirit Sister Productions recently went to Lithuania and explored the link between the Jewish Community of SA and its roots in that country. She interviews South Africans who were born in Lithuania who recall their formative years and it also captures the life in Lithuania as it was then, compared to how it is now with a limited Jewish Community left. The Programme aims to give an insight into what life was like for their forebears in Lithaunia and consequently what informs the SA Jews way of being today, as most of their descendants originally hail from Lithaunia.
