The Riemvasmaak story is contextualised by the most biblical forced expulsion of the Riemvasmaak community, its diaspora and triumphant return following the end of the apartheid rule and the establishment of democracy in South Africa.
The drama is set in the beautiful Riemvasmaak area and based on the real historical events of forced removals from the Riemvasmaak area, and we see these events through the personal life of Jaco Allemans (who together with his family is taken to Ciskei) and his love for Trina (who is moved to Namibia with her family).
