Makoti is a vibrant relationship drama that interrogates modern day relationships as well as explore some key
elements that make-or-break relationships. The series follows these four couples at different stages of their relationship or marriage. Each arc is beautifully crafted and based on the four stages of marriage: honeymoon (Mthoko and Lilitha), conflict (Zandile and Siyabonga), bargaining (Mo and Jessica) and mature love (Judith and Lawrence). The couples are also tied by spaces, like work, family and friendships– which is perfect recipe for conflict, drama and of course some tender loving!
