Amalanga Awafani is a daily drama exploring what happens to two siblings living in poverty in the rural
area of Umzinyathi, when they come into more money than they could ever have dreamed after
finding a winning lotto ticket. The show follows them as their lives are turned upside-down by a
move to the big city with their new-found wealth as people who had left them to flounder in their
hardships, come crawling out of the woodwork looking to share in the new flow of cash.
