Zero Tolerance is a crime fighting unit directly answerable to the President. It investigates areas of critical concern country wide. It comprises a unique set of characters such as lawyers, police, intelligence operatives and IT people, who have been brought together to deal with high profile crimes ranging from airport heists to farm murders, hi-jackings, crimes against women and children, crime syndicates, drugs, abalone smuggling and art theft
The series was shot in many different locations, ranging from farms to the houses of the rich elite and hovels in rural areas. The characters, unlike the homogeneous group usually found
in series television, embraces the spectrum of South African society, from high-powered political figures and business tycoons to the most deprived and exploited members of the society. It depicts the reality of the situation in which these people live.
