Ballade Vir ‘N Enkeling

It is 1985. The Basson Prize for literary work is awarded to Jacques Rynhard for his book “Die Enkeling” but he is nowhere to be found. An editor decides to pursue the story and tasks top journalist Carina Human to investigate and the drama unfolds. She decides to focus on two points of departure, where Jacque is and why he disappeared? She starts her research by approaching the people closest to him and although they are hesitant to speak at first, they slowly start sharing information and the viewer is introduced to Jacques Rynhard’s colourful past and the people who shared it with him. His supposed best friend Jan–Paul Otto who is a freelance actor and Lena, who is Jacques’ sweetheart, provides Carina with very little and very sparse information in her search for what is potting in the writer’s life. This leaves the viewer glued to the screen in pursuit of the truth.
