Max “Phuzu’moshe” Buthelezi is 31-years-old. He is a freelance musician by trade. He plays almost every instrument and was a popular kwaito/Gospel musician in the 1990s. He travelled the world, performing as one of South Africa’s biggest stars. However, in his roller coaster ride as a popular muso, Max picked up a drinking habit and by the time the millennium reached it’s end, he was a bona fide alcoholic, with nothing to his name but his guitar and whisky bottles, playing at parking lots for a buck.
