Hard Copy IV is set ten years after season 3 concludes. News editor Benny Jacobs has taken over as editor of the bulletin and restored the paper to its original gutsy, independent roots after it was turned into a tabloid by former editor Prince Modise. The newsroom is populated by a new set of staff, including staff photographer Jana Brink-Jacobs who’s marriage to Benny is gradually falling apart.
